Rapid Review: Michael Todd Beauty Soniclear | Moments With Millie

I am back with another Rapid Review. I hope you enjoy this format for reviewing products. This time I am reviewing the Michael Todd Beauty Soniclear Cleansing Brush. There are many different face cleaning brushes on the market ( from manual to battery operated). With so many available options, it can be a little difficult to make an informed decision. Below are my thoughts on the Michael Todd brush. I hope this helps.

  1. Price– I purchased the Soniclear Petite Deluxe from Hautelook for $50. It currently sells for $99 on the Michael Todd site. The set comes with a travel case, a cleansing milk, the brush, a drying cradle, a brush head and a charger.
  2. Use(s)– Deeply cleanses pores while exfoliating the skin.
  3. Product Claims (from Michael Todd site)–  Power Control Handle. Produces up to 300 sonic movements per second for 6x better cleansing than with hands alone.
Antimicrobial Daily Cleanse Brush. Gentle, effective daily cleansing brush. Brush bristles are sized and uniquely rounded at the tip for gentle, effective daily cleansing. Antimicrobial for stain and odor causing bacteria protection.
Multiple Speeds. 3 sonic speeds for a customizable cleansing experience for your specific skin type and skin concerns.
Cleansing Timer. Built in automatic timer beeps to remind you to move to next cleansing area.
Cordless and Rechargeable. Provides up to 2+ Hours of continuous use on a single charge.
Waterproof. Fully waterproof for use in the shower and bath.
Drying Stand. Upright cradle for drying and charging
Antimicrobial Product Protection for Brush. Safe, effective and long lasting LIFE Antimicrobial Product Protection is built into the brush head to protect against stain and odor causing bacteria so brushes stay cleaner, fresher for longer. Won’t wash out or wear off for the life of the brush.
Warranty. The Soniclear Petite has an industry leading 3 year limited warranty against defects
  4. My Thoughts– I really like this brush. I initially wanted the Clarisonic however I decided to purchase the Soniclear when I learned how hygienic it is. The brush heads are anti-microbial. This is a double bonus because it means that I don’t have to constantly purchase replacement heads. I like how portable the brush is (great for traveling). Lastly, I love that it deep cleans my skin without stripping it.

Do you use a facial cleansing brush? If so, what do you think about them? Feel free to review my previous Rapid Review posts here and here.

Spring Ready

Each year winter seems to stick around a little longer. And everyone knows that a long winter means more time inside (and more time in dark/heavy clothing). Although I love the holidays I am always happy when this time of  year comes around. The weather warms up and we get to shed some layers. It’s springtime and below are my tips for getting spring ready.

  1. Update  your wardrobe. Freshening up your wardrobe does not have to cost a lot of money. Purging your closet of items that no longer fit is a no cost way to get ready for spring. It also gives you an excuse to go shopping for a few new items. 🙂
  2. Switch out your skincare. Our skincare needs change as the weather gets warmer. Now is a good time to change out your heavy moisturizer for a lighter one. If you have not done so already, purchase SPF (a separate one for your face and body). Lastly, toss  any expired beauty products.
  3. Purchase a nude or pink lipstick. Dark lips are very chic during the winter. However spring is a great time to rock pretty pinks and nudes.
  4. Add new home decor. I am a huge believer that your home is your sanctuary. You would be amazed at how changing out linens, throw pillows or adding fresh flowers can change your overall mood.
  5. Change up your hairstyle. Now is a great time to try out that new hairstyle, color, cut, etc. you’ve been coveting. I am currently obsessed with the ever so popular bob/lob. It is so chic!
